The Institute of Welsh Affairs is an independent think-tank that promotes quality research and informed debate.

They commission research, publish reports and policy papers, and organise events across Wales.

They have kindly agreed to give PAC members a 10% discount on all publications and events.

We are currently looking for a graduate to join our political research and monitoring team at our Cardiff Bay office starting in January 2010.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic individual with a passionate interest in politics and public life in Wales.

We are looking for candidates capable of undertaking the following tasks: Research and policy analysis; Stakeholder communications; Event management; and Political monitoring,

We will also provide the successful candidate with in-house training on political communications and public affairs consulting.

A research and policy background in Welsh politics and/or previous experience of working within the Welsh public affairs sector is not essential but would be beneficial.
