available for an exceptional candidate) Brief Details: The British Medical Association is the professional
association for doctors and the premier health lobby in
Wales. We seek an individual with a proven track record in
public sector research and/or policy issues.
You will work closely with BMA committee members and
officers to devise and describe BMA policy across a wide
spectrum of health issues in Wales, but also in relation
to the wider UK perspective, based upon appropriate
contextual research.
Our holistic approach to health policy
demands a sound knowledge of the issues facing the
NHS in Wales (and particularly doctors), an active interest
in Welsh politics, and an in-depth knowledge of research
methods and policy development processes. Fluency in the
Welsh language would be advantageous.
