JOB: Brexit Programme Support Officer, The Welsh NHS Confederation

Job Title: Brexit Programme Support Officer (Fixed term for 2 years)
Location: Cardiff
Reports To: Policy and Public Affairs Manager

NATURE & SCOPE
Since the EU Referendum vote the Welsh NHS Confederation (WNHSC), on behalf
of our members, has been highlighting the possible implications of Brexit with the
Welsh Government, Assembly Members and stakeholders. In addition, as a member
of the UK wide Cavendish Coalition and the Brexit Health Alliance we are ensuring
that the impact for Wales is made clear at a UK level.
The role will be key to delivering the Brexit Support Programme, enabling the
WNHSC to help coordinate specific Brexit actions across our members through
working with the Welsh Government, the Cavendish Coalition and Brexit Health
Alliance.

PURPOSE
To provide effective programme support to the Brexit Support Programme which is
coordinated by the Welsh NHS Confederation. The Programme is funded from our
successful Welsh Government EU Transition Fund bid. You will be working as part of
a small team to help achieve strategic and business objectives of the programme
through working with representatives from across the NHS who are leading on
Brexit.
The role will involve the administration and clerical support for the Programme;
corresponding with stakeholders, including working closely with internal NHS Wales’
representatives; planning and managing internal and external meetings; writing
reports, briefings and toolkits; organising regional and national events; and acting as
a point of contact for programme queries.

Reporting to the Policy Public Affairs Manager (the Programme team lead) the post
holder will be involved in the administration and clerical support for the programme
including corresponding with stakeholders; planning and managing internal and
external meetings; writing reports and acting as a point of contact for programme
queries.
Responsible for enabling work to be delivered to agreed deadlines and highlighting
to the Policy and Public Affairs Manager any challenges to delivery in a timely
manner.
