JOB: Wales Policy Officer, British Dietetic Association

British Dietetic Association: Wales Policy Officer

The British Dietetic Association is a leading professional body and trade union and is the largest organisation of nutrition professionals in the UK; representing the nutrition and dietetic workforce across all four home countries.  We are seeking an enthusiastic Policy Officer to cover Wales on a part time basis i.e. 14.5 hours per week.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with strong communication skills and experience of the health and or care sectors who can work with welsh dietitian members of BDA. The candidate should have excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills with an understanding of the factors impacting on the dietetic profession in Wales.

The post holder is pivotal to the development of BDA policy for Wales and will work closely with members of the Wales Board of the BDA. The post holder will be expected to have their finger on the pulse of what is happening, both politically and in the health and care sector, so that opportunities for promoting the role of dietitians are seized and carried out successfully.
